What sort of punishment am i looking at here?
2 Answers
I was wondering if someone could help me here... I have today received summons from court as i am being charged with driving without due care and attention for an incident that occured 10 months ago. The short story is that i was driving behind a bus who slowed, and moved over, into a bus stop (but not coming to a complete hault), only to then accellerate and pull out, then pull over again, this time coming to a colpete stop. I read this as the bus driver pulling over to let someone out, when in fact he had stopped at a red light. I went to over take the bus (it was obscurring my vision of the red light (i am also aware that lights are visable from both right and left)) at which point a local school child ran out into the road who i subsequently hit. This is all recorded on camera and i am 99% sure i will receive a guilty verdict. I am however wondering what the upper limit is for punishment when being charged with driving wothout...? I am aware that i face points or a loss of licence, but i am unaware to the limit of the fine? or is it limitless? I am a full time student studying at university. Would this effect the fine? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Back to the start, Lesson Learnt, A BUS, A CHILD, be thank full that the child was not killed.
