KM Links Game - June week 1 results

Good morning everyone - here we are at the start of a new month's contest and already Kate is managing to lead us astray, all around the houses and generally up the garden path - is this what we are to expect for the next three weekends ???

Well, the STRAW BERRY was a very popular choice and almost everyone thought the ALMS HOUSE was the only answer possible, but then she pulls the shazaam - having read the clue, very few very canny souls were game to go with MASS MEDIA but nobody managed to come up with POP SOCK !!!! An ankle sock would have been the closest thing and many were on that track, but girls - if you have time to find the definition of pop sock, I think you'll be surprised - I certainly was !!!

Now to the scores and here, I'm afraid, I'm going to disappoint you -

there was one successful entry with three correct answers and consequently 6 points and that was x-ray

However with 17 correct entries with 3 points each and a further 23 scoring 1 point - if you were hoping to see you name in bold this is not the week that it's going to happen !!! Sorry about that, keep up the good work, and it will happen soon enough.

What I would like to say though, is that with 59 individual entries, this would have to be one of the biggest roll-ups that KM has had - we even heard from the Ancient Mariner who is stuck up a back water somewhere doing only he knows what - so Bravo to all, and Encore for next week, when we'll do the same thing all over again.

I won't worry with a Leader Board at this early stage, as you can imagine - x-ray is first and the rest of us, well, we'll wait till next weekend to sort that out......bye S

While you all enjoy a good week - though why we are celebrating the Queens Birthday today with a holiday and you are not makes no sense - please spare a thought for Strix who along with the leg from hell, has now succumbed to the flu - I sincerely hope it will be short in duration or there'll be a rather cranky owl about the place.

Hope Strix is ok and that it isn't Swine Flu. What with his Trotter as well he'll be pig-sick and will no doubt be hogging all the attention at home!
