who's Fault was it?? Why didnt the Traffic police Come?

I am hoping someone can help me, On the 19/6/09 i was involved in a minor bump outside my house, i was merging out of a T junction turning Right , both ways were clear i am edging forward gradually, using only the clutch {no acceleration} Now i am out of the junction, joing the Q if traffic then out of nowhere came a car, Now we made contact, the edge of my bumper on passenger side front came into contact with the back door passenger side and rear bumper on the back passenger side!! of the other car i telephoned the Traffice police to attend, coz noboby is taking liability for the crash & i say for that damage to be where it is, He clearly was on the wrong side of the road and travelling in exccess of 40mph, in a 30mph, NO seatbelt ...

If you were joining a queue of traffic the road couldn't have been clear. If you think the other car came 'out of nowhere' you probably weren't paying enough attention. The onus is on you to make sure the road's clear before pulling out. If you get 50/50 you'll be very lucky, more like 75/25 in the other driver's favour or worse. Police's job is not to decide blame, only to determine whether an offence has been committed. They will only attend if there are injuries to people (or some animals) or damage to roadside property. PS If you want people to believe you're a safe and cautious driver you might want to think about a new nickname!
