Speeding Fine

I received a speeding ticket in November for driving 34 in a 30 zone, (one of those nasty little men in a police van with a window cut into the back!) I ignored it until I got the reminder then I eventually posted it off. As I forgot to enclose my photo card it was then returned to me giving me 7 days to find it. I seem to have lost the counterpart and was about to apply for a duplicate when another letter came through the post stating that it was too late and had been forwarded to the CPS. This was 6 weeks ago, does anybody know how long I have to wait until I know they are not going to bother with me? Thanks.

I’m not sure where your four and a half weeks comes in, Myriad.
Your case will almost certainly be listed in the court of the area where the offence was committed. The prosecutor will be from the CPS, not the DVLA. The prosecution has six months to bring the matter to court and such cases often take almost all of that time to be listed, so it...

I have a similar problem. I received a Notive of Intended Prosecution for doing 34 in a 30.
I simply forgot to return it within the 28 days allowed. I have now sent it in, but by the time it gets there it will be 30/31 days.
I'm really worried that it will end up in court, and I simply cannot afford to pay any huge fines.
Are they likely to accept my details back a couple of days late? I have never received a reminder or anything else.
I just want to know the likelihood that I will end up having to go to court for doing 34 in a 30 and submitting my details a couple of days late. I'm really worried.
Any help would be very much appreciated.

I think yeh ok he should get 3 points n 60 fine. but for a minor thing like a counter part licence. he shouldnt have his fine raised to a possible 200 quid thats outragious. personaly ive had a speeding fine once payed straight away but if id had the same issue id refuse to pay 200 as its like 2 weeks wage for me. i gave em part of my licence insurance and the 60 quid thats more than enough for them to take the moola n go bully the next guy. btw i was 6 mph over limit
XD im a biker im often getting away with it as camras usualy cant see my number plate at front (cos i ai nit got 1) my average speed is 20 over the limit so i realy feel sorry for you myriad. and as for the judge yes he has been real informative and helpfull in my understanding of the whole bogey man in a van got me thing
