Of course not Ginvodka. The most important component of being a competent and safe driver is experience. Driving isn't a matter of how hard you can throw a car around a corner or sneak over the speed limit. It's being able to control the vehicle in all conditions - rain, fog, ice, during a blow-out etc. You also have to learn to avoid other road users breaking the rules or making mistakes - not plough into them when they pull in front of you and then insist to all who'll listen that "It wasn't my fault, it was theirs!"
It takes about 15 years of knocks, scrapes and driving in different conditions for a driver to start to be regarded as experienced and safe. Drivers never stop learning. To supervise a learner while you are very inexperienced yourself is simply foolish.

On wednesday I was stationary in traffic when a young lady who had passed as competent to drive the previous day ploughed into the back of my van giving me whiplash and damaging my trapezius muscles in my back......agonising back spasms and walking like C3PO thanks to her inability to recognise brake lights as a signal to slow down and stop..........do everyone a favour, don't take your test:))
