This is my 14 year-old Granddaughter singing "Valerie" I'm not a fan of Amy, so I welcome comments please.

Yes, the strumming is far too fussy, Spotty. It's a very old fashioned "folky" kind of strumming that no guitarist would ever do today. Maybe if she used eighth notes instead of sixteenths it would sound a bit less frantic.
Singing' s good though. I like the way she isn't afraid to attack the song. She'd sound great with a good accompanist.
