It was played on XFM radio on 01/02/12. And it was a female singer. The song was slow and minor in style. Quite instrumental.
The lyrics I heard were 'It's better to feel the cold than nothing at all'.
I looked on the XFM website and the song they said it was, was 'Emmylou' by First Aid Kit, but this isn't the right song.
I've tried typing the lyrics into google and can't find anything.

The song WAS very Lana Del Rey in style.
