is it true that pink floyd's the dark side of the moon album fits to the story of the wizard of oz if you mute the sound on the tv & play the album alongside it?

This site is dedicated to the whole theory, and lists all the coincidences - I hope the link works, I've never been very successful at pasting links in here

..alright forget that. Go to www.snopes.com , click on the MOVIES section, look for wizard of oz

It's popularly known as 'The Dark Side of the Rainbow' and yes, it does have some interesting synchronicities. I don't believe that there is any deliberate attempt to have created the album such that it would do this, however; it would be too difficult to do.

Just stick 'Dark Side of the Rainbow' into Google and it throws up more than a few sites that delve into the subject, including how to do it.

It's a good laugh, but you shouldn't read anything into it - try playing other albums with other films and you can get equally 'spooky' results.

In the magazine Classic Rock, the April or May 05 edition this was exposed as a "rock myth"
