Ricky Update

not really an update as such as since my last one I haven't heard anything new to tell you all. But as the saying goes no news is good news.

I did feel that it may be nice to share last night with you though. Last night Ricky's two clubs Berwick and Sheffield held a Benefit meeting for him - it was done in the old style (before my time) and I had a great time. Load of people there to raise funds for Ricky. It was nice knowing that the riders were riding for expenses only I believe. Everybody who rode last night wanted to do there bit for such a great man. It was a 39-39 result and both teams and Promoters decided that the Trophy would go back to Salford to be with Ricky.

All the race jackets were sold off, there was a print auctioned off too. It was a great night and a great turn out.

So until next update, keep everything crossed that he comes round soon

Nah I didn't tony - didn't have a spare £50 on me. But a wee lad I know he got one and I've asked next time he comes for shoes he'll need to bring it in so I can have a look because it was too dark.

I did contribute to the £10k+ that was raised from the selling of wristbands which people have made a pledge that they stay on until he wakes up!

It was anne - specially in times like these it was a good turn out.

I'm holding a raffle on Thursday night and so far have raised £8 but its better than nothing - still to see some people about buying tickets but I'm hoping to raise a reasonable amount for him
