If There Was Any Doubt Of Labour's Anti...

Cold and dry here - still meant to be this mad temperature rise tomorrow but I can't see it lol. A busy day today - lots of work orders came in lastnight so have all of them to process, then general household stuff. Don't need to worry bout thinking of dinner this eve. - Fridays seem to have more often than not become Steak Friday lol. Simply because MrSmow absolutely loves steak, and because it's so quick to do. I don't particularly like steak myself, so I'll just do something easy for me.
Nothing planned for the weekend I don't think - just tidying garden/leaves etc, as nxt weekend we will be in Devon visiting Youngsmow! Will be 1st time MrSmow has been down since last New Years Eve, and 1st time meeting baby Theo, so should be great.
So what's everyone else up to today??

It snowed again here, but has gone over night and it is fairly sunny so snow not sticking. The roads have been gritted, but will have to get all the snow off the car. Also we are in for some stormy weather over the weekend so looks like I will be in again.
Sorry I didn't get round to posting yesterday, I got side tracked and the next thing I know it was 4pm. But I do remember the winter of 62/63,especially walking 1/4mile to the bustop to go to secondary school, standing waiting about 1/2hour in the freezing cold only for someone to tell me the buses weren't running. Walked home and when I got in my hair defrosted and there was a dirty puddle where I had stood and my face was all streaked with dirt.It was 60 years ago and I remember it vividly. Any one else got a childhood memory they remember vividly? (That could be a new thread!)
Have a good day and enjoy your visit to YoungSmow and baby Theo.
Ahh morning calda. Wow, that winter sounds harsh!! And now we moan about 2 cm of snow lol! Would we even get winters like that anymore?? Maybe that's why everyone gets so dramatic on the slightest snow flurry now - we just aren't used to real bad weather anymore.
Stay safe driving this morning if it is at all icy or snowy x
Morning all. It snowed briefly overnight then it turned into rain. The council had gritted so the lanes weren't too slippy this morning.
Calda I think I was in Devon in the years you mentioned and the snow was up to the tops of the banks/hedges so we were snowed in for a few days, (if my memory serves me correctly.) At the time it was great fun.
We have a sainsbury order due shortly and thats us for the day
Have a happy day everyone, stay safe and warm
Morning, I remember that winter as well Calda. I was in last year of Junior school.
Watched local news this morning and saw pictures of the snow in Exeter and one in Newton Abbot, I was amazed we are only 12 miles away and all we had was a 10 minute flurry. They are predicting storms later so have taken table and chairs off the balcony. Hopefully it will be all okay by the time you drive down next week.
I did steak for Mr U last night, like you I am not keen so had some cold chicken. It will be spag bol tonight.
As we had day in Exeter Wednesday, no need to pop out today so will be a catch up on chores.
