Any good? Heard a couple of tracks from his latest album and heard a bit more of his first when it was Mercury-nominated, but going to see him in February and so thought I would gather people's thoughts on him.

I'd never heard of him and still haven't heard an album but I did see him at a small festival and was really impressed. His violin playing was pretty breathtaking and he came across as a really nice guy. Enjoy the gig.
I only just recently heard him and I really like him. He's much better than the pablo nuttini and the ilk.
I really like him - Kitty Jay album is mad and fantastic at the same time. New album is also good but a little tamer - well worth a listen.
He's pretty hardcore folky - so if you're ok with that you'll like him. The second album is more mainstream acoustic - but still loads of fiddles etc. He loves his Dartmoor legends...
Definitely worth a listen - Kitty Jay is an awesome album but Freedom Fields is great too. Punch Bowl, his first solo is very trad folk whereas the other two are more mainstream. He's very talented, can't wait to see him live.
