The band played an impromptu set at lead singer Sting's wedding to Trudie Styler in 1992, and last performed together in celebration of their 2003 induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
The prime-time GRAMMY performance on February 11 comes 30 years after the release of The Police's first single, Fall Out.
