Bands Reforming

Following on from the previous question about The Police reforming.. Does anyone else think that the idea of bands reforming is a bad idea? Im pretty sure that the police will do a set of their old songs and will just look old and not as I remembered them when they were at their peak in the late 70's and early 80's.
Am I also the only one to be glad that the Beatles never got back together because they belonged to a time and place that can never be returned to.. I personally think if a band have to reform they should do so with new material and not go on tour.. Does anyone else think the same?

I agree 100%.
The 'good old days' can never be re-captured and should remain unspoilt.
I agree, but wouldn`t it have been good to see a one off Beatles gig, like Pink Floyd at Live 8...that was awesome
