Doves

Quite a long time ago I had a record called (Ithink) - Beaten up in Love Again by a band called the Doves (but not the present The Doves). Dos anybody recall this band and tell me I'm not imagining things!!!

Yes, there was a band called The Doves, and Beaten Up In Love Again was (I think) their only single release. It actually wasn't very representative of the group's usual sound, not least because they usually had male singers, but on that one song Angie Brown sang lead vocals instead. Anyway, their album was called "Affinity" and is long out of print but easy to find second-hand on amazon, etc.
