Metallica's ninth studio album (yet to be named) is scheduled for a February 2008 release. Whether it will come out in February or not is anyone's guess, but they've been recording it for some time. Rob Trujillo is still the bassist though, putting an end to this long period of an unstable lineup since Jason Newstead left.

The date has been put back until September 08 now, there is some chance of an earlier release though.
