title and artist of an instrumental

I heard a really cool instrumental that has some high pitched strings instrument playing in the background. I could swear I've heard it before, I'm pretty sure in a movie, but I recently heard it again during the womens 4x100 swimming section of the 2004 Olympics in Athens. This was on NBC, and they were focusing on an American (even though the Australians won this). The main part of the song was a synthesizer I think, but since it's an instrumental (as far I heard), this makes it difficult to pin down on google and such

Not sure as i didn't see that particular programme however on some profiles of the other rowers I've heard the music from Road To Perdition, though there are no synthesisers in that soundtrack.
