Oh for goodness sake ! I settled down with my cuppa to watch Loose Women and that blooming Lesley Garrett was on the panel !!!
It just had to go off, but I wasn't quite quick enough to switch channels before she did the warble ! Grrrrr.

She does my nut, I have mentioned it on here before - she has to sing everything! Its like she constantly feels she has to remind us that she is an opera singer. Normal people don't do this, bakers don't come home and bake bread and dancers don't dance their way round the supermarket or whatever it is that they are doing.

Her mum lives next door to my Son and Daughter in Law(who is from Doncaster)
Lesley may appear irritating (to you at least) but I can assure you that what you see is merely the "shobiz diva" persona.
In real life she is as normal and down to earth as any of us.
If you only judge by what you see on TV you miss a lot.

I feel thoroughly reprimanded Mr Veritas, and I now feel (a bit) bad for being mean about her HOWEVER it may well be her showbiz personality but I cannot think of a single other celebrity who sings their conversations :-/

She led the crowd in singing "Abide With Me" at the last FA Cup Final at the old Wembley in 2000. We beat Aston Villa 1-0, but Lesley was truly the star of the show. There, thats something you didn't know 2 minutes ago.

I did actually lesblue ! I don't mind her when she is SUPPOSED to be singing, I just hate the way she has to warble her way through every damn conversation !

I'm not keen on LG's yodelling either - it drove me nuts when she was on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire! I very nearly switched off, but wanted to see how much they'd win for charity!

I enjoyed watching her on 'Who Do You Think You Are' though. Mind you, I like watching that, whoever may be on it!

Gave up watching Loose Women. The only one I liked was Carol - all the others get on my nerves. They all screech and giggle like silly schoolgirls. Lesley Garrett fits in well with them.

I am sorry Mr Veritas, but we can only judge TV personalities by what we see. As I don't know Miss Garrett in real life, I can truly say I do turn the TV off as soon as she comes on. She is extremely irritating (and quite honestly I don't appreciate her singing either).
