Today is the anniversary of JL's premature death, and as such, he should have a rememberance thread dedicated to him and all his fans from across the world

So any thoughts of him?

Where you were when you heard the sad news of his tragic shooting?

And did anyone get to see him live?

What is your favourite John Lennon tune or with the Beatles?

These two tunes were voted No1 and 2 on my local radio station as fans favourites.....hope you enjoy them and may his memory live on.

RIP, JL :0)

No.1 choice was 'Imagine'........sound on full version starts at about 30 seconds in....

and No. 2 was 'Woman'

I was never a Beatles fan in particular and I don't class John Lennon as anybody needing iconic worship. However, it was very, very sad that he last his life so young in such tragic circumstances. I can't honestly remember where I was or what I was doing when I heard he had died.

I can however remember exactly what I was doing and where I was when the news about JFK broke. That was a very significant event for me - I was 15/16 at the time.
