Carrow Road Norwich football club are holding a Norfolk Spectacular this year with N Dubz, JLS, Tinchie etc on 11th June, but my blokes workmate had also booked his wedding at Carrow Road that day! The Big Boss phoned him today to apologise and is desperataly trying to find him a 5 star hotel to have wedding in, but why should he change the venue, he wanted it there for a reason and too late to change the dates. What idiots!!

It is certainly annoying when double bookings occur (and, with computerised booking systems, it's hard to see how it can happen). But human error can creep into the best-run of organisations. (When I worked on the railways, I once managed to lose an entire train!).
I suggest that the couple screw every single penny that they can out of NCFC's hospitality operation, so that they can have an even better wedding elsewhere. I know Norwich well (I was there this afternoon) and I'd recommend that they look into booking the beautiful Dragon Hall:

or Dunston Hall:

Anyway, claret & blue are banned at Carrow Road. You'd need to dress like this:

I was only on the outskirts, 4getmenot, at the George Hotel, off Newmarket Road.
I had planned to go to my meeting by train, so that I could have a few bevvies afterwards (at The Champion, near St Stephen's roundabout or The Mischief, on the road out to Anglia Square) but I had quite a bit of paperwork to carry, so I took the car instead.

Since I no longer work for the car dealership, Chuck, I don't go through your village on a regular basis. I keep meaning to get there for a drink but that means a train to Ipswich, another one to Colchester and then a bus to the front door of your 'local'. Maybe I'll manage it when the weather's a bit better!
As the Norfolk Spectacular may have been planned well in advance, (possibly before your mates nuptials ) and is for the benefit of the public-meaning it involves several agencies, loads of advertising,etc...well-then I'm not surprised the wedding reception is getting the boot. But at least the boss is making the effort to get a good, or better, venue.
