Sorry to be so vague. If I could write music I would put some up.
There`s a Bob Dylan song that I have heard as backing in films at some time and I can`t find it anywhere on the itunes samples.
All I can say is that the first few bars sound like the first few bars of I Got You Babe by Sonny and Cher (the bit that says "They say we`re young and we don`t know"
A long shot but a diehard Dylan fan might know.

Thanks winner but I don`t think it is. I`ve been through every Dylan song on itunes and I can`t find it. I can only clearly remember the beginning (not the words though unfortunately) and on itunes they only play a clip from the middle of the song. I can pretty much tell from the rhythm that it`s not on there though.
Or Bob Dylan with Janis Joplin (I got you babe?) Which film?
Question Author
Thanks everyone. I can only say that the beginning sounds like the beginning of the Sonny and Cher song.
Try looking for it on youtube....

I tried that ummmm. Trouble is I can only remember the beginning but every now and again the song pops into my head and I think I must find out what it is. I think when I`ve heard it, it`s been used as backing but the song hasn`t been played all the way through. It`ll probably be a case of me coming across someone who is a Dylan fan and I`ll have to hum it to them!
I'll dig out my Dylan albums tomorrow :-)

Thanks. It`s probably some obscure album track
try these YouTube links for the full versions of the songs mentioned (I suspect one of them may be the one you're after)

The Times They Are A Changing?
Question Author
thanks flip but it`s not that either. I`ve been through all 200 songs on itunes and I can`t find it. Trouble is, as I said, they play a clip from the middle of the song and I can only remember the beginning. I can tell from the rhythm though which ones it definitely isn`t.
What film was it?
Question Author
That`s another thing. I`ve no idea. I`ve heard it in several places though filmwise
Ok. Can you name atleast one film?
Question Author
No, sorry. I just remember that I have heard it in films enough for me to be able to hum the first several bars of it.
thanks. I`m off to bed now. I`ll catch up with any other suggestions in the morning.
