does anyone know of an mp3 downloading site (legal or illegal) that can be used on windows vista? tried limewire etc but they dont seem to work, cheers

Yes it does work.... I use limewire with vista and it works.
Have you checked you internet firewall to make sure it is not being blocked by that? You need to add it to the exceptions list
