Music DVD

Hi,
Is it possible to burn several albums onto a blank DVD for replay on a normal cd player using WMP or windows media centre?? Have tried but it keep throwing an error at me. Am I doing something daft or is it not possible?

Surely by definition a normal CD player couldn't play DVDs.
