Samsung DVD-SH855M recorder help

I have recently invested in the above mentioned dvd recorder, and I have backed up all my old vhs videos of the children growing up. I want to have a clear out and give all the kids disney videos ie lion king jungle book exc, to a local charity shop, So I want to back them up on to the dvd's hdd first, but when i attempt it the dvd shows up cannot copy protected, my question is can i bypass this, on this model of dvd recorder?

I don't think you're going to be able to do this.

Most DVD recorders would only copy VHS stuff that was out before the copy protection would have been introduced.

You would have to buy a macrovision removal box.

You can pay �40 or more for others I have seen but at this price would it be worth it.
