How are the royalties for compilation albums such as the NOW series calculated? Do the performers/songwriters get a 'lump sum' or is it as a percentage of sales?

I got a percentage of the sales when I appeared on a compilation CD last year.
squarebear - do we have a celeb in our midst?
Hardly a celeb but I have had some of my dance music and remixes featured on films, computer games and a compilation CD called "Scottish Clubland 3".

Here is a link to it on the HMV website. I produced tracks 3,8,11 and 17

Is that really you squarebear??? Wow well done if it is, top tunes
Yes it's definitely me. No fake website this time lol.
I've been making dance music for about 10 years on and off and it's a big buzz when I go into a club and see people dancing to something I made.

I'm on a couple of films in Canada too, which you can read about if you are interested:

The music when you enter the website is mine too and appears on the film 9 Muses due for release later this year I believe.
