can I change a DVD Region 1 DVD to Region 2 with software as my player will only play region2

I don't quite know what that link Keira posted has to do with your problem.

However, you can probably hack your dvd player to region free, which means it will play Region 1 dvds.

You do this by simply keying in a series of number with your remote control.

You will need your dvd player make and model
