Mazda 2 & Apple Itouch compatibility

Hi,

Has anyone had any problems with either the New Mazda 2 and Apple product compatibility or otherwise Apple Itouch in a car compatibility.

The Mazda 2 has a built in Ipod/Itouch adapter and we've ruled out that the car's adapter works with a normal Ipod, but there seems to be issues with the Itouch.

Any ideas?
