Low Limit Credit Card for Internet Buying

Is there a UK company / bank that produces a credit card with a low credit limit that one could use for buying over the internet (ie say �500). A lot of people are stil concerned about security issues buying online , so if in a worst case scenario should someones details be hacked the loss would not be as great as a card with a higher limit if the account were cleared out. Sorry if the question is not clear enough, any comments suggestions would be appreciated..

If this is something you want, you can ask a credit card company to lower the limit if you wish. Also bear in mind that most credit card companies do offer online fraud protection.

Have you tried your own bank - I would have thought that you could change your limit to suit your needs were you accepted.

Capital One tend to give credit cards with low limits out.

Never get a capital one card. The company is American and not signed up to the UK banking codes which regulate creditr cards. My wife worked for them and she would advise everybody to stay well clear.

try a splash card. they are excellent if you want to buy stuff on net as you load it up like a top up card for a mobile only downside is they are only a few web sites that accept it!
