Anastacia CD problem!
5 Answers
I've just bought a copy of the latest CD by Anastacia, but because it's copy controlled I can't copy the tracks onto my MP3 player. I would just like to add that I am copying these tracks for my own personal use. Has anyone got any suggestions about how I can do this?

When the software looks at the CD, it'll see audio tracks 1 to 14 or whatever and lastly a data track. If you rip all of the audio tracks to wav or MP3 leaving the data track, everything will be fine!
In the UK, copying these tracks for your own personal use is still illegal. Only in the USA (that I know of) is there a "fair use" clause which permits this type of thing.
Either way, if you download and use a program called freerip mp3 it'll completely ignore any copy protection and rip the tracks for you. While I wouldn't condone doing anything illegal, I think the main issue here is that you own an Anastacia CD.
