Ryan Adams Later Jools Holland

Did you see Later, last week with Jools Holland ,Ryan Adams in particular I really like the albums and the performance ,my question is What has he done with his hair ? dragged through a hedge would be a polite description it looked as if members of the band had taken it in turns to dunk his head into the waste bins outside of every greasy spoon on their World Tour, not wishing to be rude of course.
One of the songs he played was "Am I safe" answers on a postcard please .
