Applying To Side Gigs With Past Traffic Ticket

i am applying for Uber, Grubhub, Doordash, etc., (or similar side hustle gigs, which involve me driving for them). I have had a ticket in my past ,(2018), which is listed on my background check like this:

CHARGE: RECKLESS DRIVING (DISPOSITION: GUILTY) 05/22/2018

I have the opportunity to respond to the company about this, in hopes I can some how persuade them to still hire me, and allow me to drive for them. Please, if there is any thing that I can say, or legal way of them still hiring me , could you please inform me of this, what I should say, or could you just lead me to any article or reading anywhere that would help me to have more knowledge that would make things go in my favor with their final decision?
