What is it like as a venue? Just bought some tickets for Athlete @ Koko in July, very excited, saw them @ Hammersmith 2 years ago and they were brilliant, have heard Koko is more intimate, compared to Brixton or say Hammersmith, what's it like?

I used to go there for UNDER 18s parties when i was back in Secondary School (then it was known as Camden Palais) and i've been there a few times since it was transformed to KoKo.
I HAVENT BEEN THERE FOR A CONCERT!
It is smaller than Hammersmith but it's a nice venue. Big Stage at the front and as you say very intimate.
Sorry i can't be more detailed but i think it'll be a very different experience as i've only been clubbing there - so don't want to give you any false impressions!
Have a great night x

I saw James Morrison at KoKo back in Jan and my mate and I both loved the venue. It's all red inside with a massive disco ball hanging from the ceiling (presumably this is used on club nights only as it wasn't spinning while James was playing!) It's set out like a theatre meaning that there are different levels (each wih a bar!) and some seats. I'd recommend going to the level above the sound desk as you then get great view and sound. It's not that large either but I thought it had a better atmosphere than Brixton or Hammersmith. But that's just my opinion, so I apologise if you don't like it!
Have a great time!
