check-out work
3 Answers
Hi
Looking to save up for a gap year and looking a work at local supermarkets as I need all the hours I can get. However i just looked on a couple of sites and they say to keeping checking the site as there arnt any vacancies. I thought check out staff were on a rolling contract and simply needed to apply regardless of vacancies as there is such a demand for extra staff.
How do i go about this? Can anyone talk from experience?
Thanks

As well as the supermarkets theres also other retailers who have checkout staff eg argos, comet, currys, pc world, staples, bhs, marks and sparks, debenhams, dunelm, wh smiths, john lewis,
i went off on a tangent there, were you specifically wanting checkout work in a supermarket ?
