Not a late April Fools joke, but apparently Mr Cameron will be appearing in Lady Gaga's video for her next single, 'Government Hooker'.

A Downing Street spokesman said:

"David Cameron is a massive Lady Gaga fan and he was delighted to be asked to appear in her next video. He is due to meet Barack Obama in Washington later in April and will film the video on the way"

Is this...wise?

probably not no, lol.

Can we assume she'll be playing the part, in the video, of a hooker, who sleeps with MP's? And will he be one of the MP's she singing about?

Classy and tasteful!

well His Tonyness did a "am I bovverred" sketch with Catherine Tate so he's only following Noo Labour's example by courting entertainers. Harmless.

Is it wise for Lady Gaga to appear with David Cameron?
Perhaps he would be better employed starring in a Channel 4 documentary, fighting side by side for a fortnight, with our lads out in Afghanistan?
This story surfaced on 1st April. I am not convinced it is not a joke

There's a dangerous precedent - I recall Neil Kinnock appearing in a Tracy Ullman video many years ago - and it did his credibility (I know, I know) no good at all.

I understand why Mr Cameron is doing it, but politicians have to be extremely careful about ever trying to look as if they're 'down wiv the kids'.

It'll all end in tears.

You star!

The story was forwarded to me by a colleague, so I didn't know the date it originally came out.

Panic over.
Awwww, i was so hoping it was true :-(
Cameron is a big Smiths fan.

The Queen is Dead is his favourite album. A flattered Morrissey pen the track Dagenham Dave as a thank you.

I should be so lucky.
hehe
on an old edition of "mock the week" shown on dave over the weekend, Frankie Boyle was describing how he thought Nick Clegg should present himself at election functions:-

'on all fours wearing a dog collar & lead, being led by a big guy dressed as the minotaur, saying "who is the man and who is the beast..." '

if only you'd known then, Frankie.
Is this similar to Gordon Brown and The Arctic Monkeys??? thing
