The Easybeats were an Australian band - two members, Henry Vanda and George Young went on to write and produce 'Love is in The Air' for John Paul Young, and recorded as Flash & The Pan having hits like 'Waiting For A Train'.

The duo then took on production duties for George's young brothers' band - Angus and Malcolm formed the mighty AC/DC - and the rest is indeed history.
Question Author
wow Andy, great stuff
and AC/DCs singer is a geordie too..lol
Although die-hard original fans will only accept that the late Bon Scott is the vocalist from AC/DC, and that Brian Johnson is a 'Johnny-come-lately'.

But you can't argue the figures - the 'Back In Black' album the first on which Johnson replaced Scott who died of alcohol abuse has sold 22 million copies in the US alone - making it the fifth best-selling album in US Chart history.

Wye Eye indeed!

I have seen him in our local a few years back he was with the singer from Lindisfarne who sadly passed away...omg, what was his name again
I've never understood that. Brian Johnson has been lead vocals since 1980. Bon Scott only for 6 years. I'd say all their best stuff has been recorded with Johnson.
if memory serves me correctly was it 54321 by manfred mann was the intro to RSG
Booldawg - I'd hesitate to say the Johnson-era sound is 'better', different certainoly, and obviously there is more of it, but it's hard to beat the raw mennace of 'Dirty Deeds', or the humour of 'Rocker'.
