No, its by a group called Kaoma called the lambada song. From what i can remember it was sung in French.

Although Kaoma were a predominantly French speaking group, the lyrics to "Lambada" were Portuguese, sung by a Brazilian vocalist.

The song was a cover of a 1986 Brazilian dance hit "Chorando se foi", which itself was a legally authorised Portuguese-translated rendition of the original 1981 slow ballad "Llorando se fue" by Bolivian group Los Kjarkas.

Los Kjarkas, as copyright holders, successfully sued Kaoma for plagiarism and releasing the song without their permission.
