Resuscitation
14 Answers
My GP visited me today as I am at present unable to walk very well, and during our conversation the subject of my demise arose and he asked me if should I have an heart attack, would I want to be resuscitated. He knows that I am fully aware of my illness and I replied "No", and later this afternoon a lady from the surgery delivered an large brown envelope with a notice inside stating that This patient does not wish to be `etc etc`, and that I should leave it in a prominent place....in case. Has anyone else had such good service from their medical practise?
I`m off to bed now..goodnight and I hope to be with you all again tomorrow.

My uncle died recently and shortly before he did, we were asked if we wanted him to be resuscitated, should the opportunity arise. He died in an old folks home and I didn't see any paperwork about resuscitation but perhaps there was some in the office.
So sorry to hear about your troubles. x

Mrs Chappie, some homes don't have documentation on resuscitation (A living Will), if the documentation isn't correct and signed by relevant parties it can be a legal problem, especially if that person does not have "mental capacity"
So I think they don't have one unless someone requests a living will is held at the home.

I was talking to Big Sis on the 'phone tonight about the Living Will. I think that Ludovic Kennedy made a wonderful ambassador for the subject. We only have each other now and are in agreement on this matter, if and when the situation arises for either of us. To me, it makes perfect sense. Sweet dreams, Bill x
