I always thought it was sung by John Leyton in 'Every Day's a Holiday', but I recently bought the DVD and it doesn't appear. Any clues or answers?

This is the soundtrack for that film, as given by the BFI http://ftvdb.bfi.org....itle/32587?view=music and there are no songs with a title like that.
I have now found that there is a songs titled 'Just You Wait And See' sung by Joe Brown in the 1963 film What a Crazy World http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0057678/ - soundtrack here http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0057678/soundtrack

Might that be what you had in mind?
