Scaffold pole type washing lines ?
12 Answers
My good lady does not like the rotary type washing line that we have inherited with the house we have just bought. She wants me to erect the old fashioned 2 x scaffold pole type assembly with the relevant pulleys either end etc.
Despite some searching on the local B&Q site I have been unable to find out whether it is possible to buy this type of setup as a kit or as singles ?
Has anyone done this recently and if so where do I go to purchase all the relevant items required ?

You need to set the garden end in deep and well concreted, to counteract the weight of the washing - not a task to be undertaken lightly, IMO!
Whjat's this then .. .? ....

Just ask them if they do a kit of two .. if you need two.
If not, you will need a wall braket and a few 10mm plasic wallplugs with rawlbolts .. like this ... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk...y&hash=item20bb0a5a79

Many thanks for the answers so far, call me old fashioned but I would prefer the old scaffold bar type line. The links supplied so far appear to be for poles that are around 8ft long. it would be nice to have the ability to erect 2 lines one high up and one lower. I suspect I might need to find a scaffolding co. and enquire whether you can buy them . Ideally something that is 12ft high or there abouts.
