Hotpoint Aquarious 1200 wm64 not spinning
9 Answers
I did two loads of washing this morning with no problem. The third load this afternoon won`t spin. All I get is the slow spin that you get right at the end of a cycle before the machine switches itself off. I`ve tried switching it to spin only and it does the same. The water has drained and I can open the door but the washing`s sodden. It`s only a bathroom mat so I know it`s not overloaded.

I looked in the troubleshooting section of the instruction manual and it just said something about the pipes. I think investigating that might be a bit beyond me. I`ll give the machine another go tomorrow and if nothing`s improved I guess I`ll have to get an expert.
Sometimes they say it's because the load "isn't sitting right" in the drum. It's worth shuffling the load about a bit, especially if there's only one thing in, as was the case here. I called someone out when mine wasn't spinning and they showed me the place in the handbook/manual where it says this will happen if the load is unevenly balanced. Why can't they just make things properly? I hate washing machines - mine always go wrong. I had someone out to my Hotpoint 3 times in the first three months, and to my Hoover in the first month.... Bah humbug.
