Project: What is love?
20 Answers
I've asked this question on a few different websites and want to get as many fresh perspectives as possible. Anyways, I'm sort of working on this little project and if you want to help, I'd appreciate it. It's really simple. Answer the question, "What is love?" in your own words, sort of as a personal quote from you, and then just leave a first name and your age. That easy :) This is more of a soul searching "project" for lack of a better word. Thanks for your time.

I love fresh crusty bread with prawns and rocket leaves. The feeling of eating something pleasurable is different of course from the feeling of loving a person, or an animal for that matter. Probably the love for an animal is stronger in a sense because they do little to shatter your illusion of them. Gran aged 92.

Love is either multifaceted, or a number of different emotions, since it is used to describe a range from brotherly love of, say, humankind, to the thrill of a new intimacy. In my opinion it is basically a combination of lust and friendship where the ratio can change depending on the circumstance one is considering. For a personal relationship they tends to start heavy on the lust, and end heavy on the friendship ingredient.
Love is buying a takeaway for my daughter and fiancee, with the promise of the money the next day. It cost £32, which i don;t have right now, and i was going to row her about it, but didn't. The next night, she rang me and said "Thank you for my tea daddy..." and her voice reminded me that even though she is 22 with a baby of her own, she is and always will be my baby, and I will do anything I can to make her happy. The feeling I got was love.
