I think I'm confusing this with Kenny, who had a hit with 'Fancy Pants' around 1974 or 5.

First Choice - a female soul trio from Philly (I think).

Smarty Pants was a hit in 73, as was their other UK hit Armed and Extremely dangerous.

could it be the Rippingtons or First Choice?
