Chopin Query

Chopin had a very strange habit, was it;

a- Would only perform with red gloves
b - He grew a beard on one side of his face only
c - He would not speak for 2 days befor a concert
d - He insisted on his audience wearing a white rose

I have heard (on QI or something similar) that b) is true but not sure it is just urban legend or not.

Apparently his reasoning was that the audience only saw half of his face. Not sure if they saw the bearded or the clean shaven side
