dating a guitar

Hi All,
I am trying to date a Ibanez rg470. serial number: C7071344.

I looked at one site but the numbers don't appear to match. the guitar was made in Korea.

Google seem to have a fair few sites for "Guitar Dating". If the serial number doesn't match, maybe it's a forgery.

Hi All,
Thanks for the input. got the date at last, its 1997, which is older than I expected.
in that year they were sold for £700, and now a new one is nearer £450.
strange, I would have thought they would have gone up in price?
