I wish to list song titles in order on my computer

I only want create a list ,I do not wish to store rmusic.

what's the problem, exactly? Can't you just write out a list on Word and save it somewhere, like any other document?

I put a disc in the computer I then click on the CD drive which then gives me a list of tracks,I would like to transfer the list to a folder ,so I can have a complete lest of tracks.
Any ideas please.

Why not just copy and paste them into a Word document with the title of the album as the folder title

can you copy and paste into excel? At least in that format you could do the same for numerous cd's and then sort the list by artist / song name as you wish.

if you find you have trouble copying from your drive, you could try googling the album: somewhere on the web you should find a listing of all the tracks in a form you can cut and paste.

If you can't copy `n' paste from your media player to excel, why not search the album title on Wikipedia and copy the info from there?

I've tried it on Microsoft Works spreadsheet and there's a sort function (Highlight all the info in column A) under [TOOLS]. It says

Specify which data to sort and how you want to sort it.

Sort using:
The selected cells
The selected cells and all the cells to the left and right.

If you choose the second option then you can chose to have them sort into A - Z order or the reverse. If you only highlight column A as the one to sort then all the info in the other columns should stay correct. That should work too.

I'm pretty sure you can sort in Word too if you put the data into a table
