Perfect Day? a ten step plan please.
25 Answers
Good Morning,
I hope everyone's well.
I've got tomorrow off.
I have 0 commitments for the day (except pick up the odd email/report on here, and knowing you lot it will be odd...)
I have no idea what to do, at first I thought I might indulge endlessly for the day - you know, everything awful for me, full on, for the entire day until I pass out with ecstatic joy....
And then I thought, no it's time to do something important, finish that painting, get jobs done, be useful and exercise the grey matter...
But then I re-examined the concept and decided I actually need a balanced day of a bit of both.
If you had a completely free day, what would you do? What would be your perfect day? Menu ideas probably appreciated?

I have too many free days since I lost my job.... has the painting gotten done? has it buggery.... so i would scritch that off your list as its one of those 'never happens scenarios' and if you overindulge you are only gonna be moaning tomorrow that you have a) an hangover b) arse too fat c) never again
I actually had a perfect day yesterday though I am 100% sure it wouldn't be to your taste.
So that leaves the menu ideas.... I made tepsi and spring onion bread the other day which was lovely... have you tried that?

I would spend the day with my good lady Carakeel exploring the moors with our 3 Irish Wolfhounds and call in one of the many moorland pubs for dinner and a pint of "real" ale.
However, I am on 1 weeks annual leave and I will probably spend much of that time in our wild garden with the dogs and carakeel and maybe cook up a feast in the garden and dine by lamplight in the evenings.

"Ed.morning....LOL.....so do the OPs. Imagine a "man" giving controversial advice to pregnant hormone fuelled women in "Pregnancy" Good fun though eh?"
Firstly I could never, as the editor of this site, admit that makes me smile and sometimes even LOL, so I wont.

I'm going to consider it a Saturday because that fits in with my plan.
1) Wake up early with the lass, have a kiss and a cuddle.
2) Get up at 9.45, she stays in bed watching Saturday morning kitchen, so I have time to run the shop to get the papers and some milk in time to get back for the 'Let the wild rumpus start!' shout at the beginning of the Collins and Long show on radio 6. Breakfast of frosted shredded wheat, marmalade on door-step toast and a big cup of tea whilst listening to the show and reading the papers.
2) back upstairs to see the lass for a kiss and a cuddle
3) Sausage, bacon and egg on toast and a big cup of tea for lunch
4) Off for a game of rugby in the sun, we beat top of the league in a really close game, the winner coming during last play after a try saving tackle on their 6'4" number 8, just in front of our line, I pounce on the loose ball, step 2 of their players and outpace their winger, full length of the pitch to touch down under posts for my hat-trick. The lass is watching from the sides, so very proud as all her mates are going "wow- Paul's so good!!"
5) Few beers at the club, check the footy scores, Liverpool have beaten Utd 6-0! Ace!
6) Home for tea, giant yorkshire pudding filled with sausage, mash, carrots and peas and loads of gravy. Big cup of tea then Apple crumble and custard for pud.
7) back up the club for a few more before heading to the pub with the lads, have a laugh, oh look, Interpol are playing our local, supported by the Smashing Pumpkins and the Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs! Grand!
8) still in the pub, meet up with the lass out with her mates, have a few with them.
9) back home for a kiss and a cuddle
10) another kiss and cuddle 'cus I'm a kiss and cuddling machine!

I'd drop 8, but that's pretty good. The suit is a good call.

turn alarm off night before
get up when you feel like it
make tea/coffee
go back to bed
bacon sandwich
back to bed
when enough lazing has be achieved get up and have a shower, take a mosy down to local shops get a paper, some munchies, book, music games, whatever you enjoy doing
stroll home and eat whilist, reading, listening/playing
food should be of the picnic/tapas variety so you can just pick at it
