It is so sad to read that another legionary singer has gone to that 'Big Country' in the sky.

R.I.P Billie Jo.

Sorry for the spell-checker mistake, but why bother to point it out, I am not the first to make such a mistake, and I know I won't be the last.

But if it makes you feel somehow superior, carry on pointing out other's mistakes, or is it just mine that alert you?
what is this accusation?..it is just that ..legionary..made no sense!
R.I.P Billie.
I assumed that the OP meant that BJS had legions of fans...
What?..you mean the Roman fans?
No, I mean legions of fans of country music.

good grief
"Blanket on the ground" a classic B-J S R.I.P
Clear communication rather depends on using the correct words.

So there is a difference between mis-spelling or mis-typing a word (something we can all do) and using completely the wrong word.

That is just confusing for the reader.

Back to the topic:

Did BJS do 'Blank It On The Ground'?
Yes ,Zeuhl - Blanket on the ground was one of Billie Jos.

mea culpa on legionary,I think?
Very sad news. Loved 'blanket on the ground'. Rest in peace Billie.xx
love Blanket on the Ground - great c/w track. RIP
Perhaps unsurprisingly everyone is mentioning Blanket On The Ground. BJS was one of the hordes of artistes who "suffered" from having one big hit to the extent that, unless you are a dedicated fan, you'd probably not be able to name another. It was her "Whiter Shade of Pale" / "This Town Ain't Big Enough for Both of Us", etc...

The only other songs of hers that come to mind are:-what I've got in mind
and misty blue. I have a few of her albums [vinyl] stored away. I do still
have a record player that works. Might dig a few old records out!
RIP Billie Jo, I liked her music , Blanket on the ground , Things go better with love, What Iv'e got in mind to name a few.
This was a classic too, though you could almost sing Blanket On The Ground to it:

Do you think Jacko ever sang Blanket On The Ground to cheer his youngest child up if he ever fell over?

This is great too - terrific lyrics. BJS recently toured the UK, including Eastbourne. I wonder, had she known she didn't have long left, would she have wanted to spend one of her last days in Eastbourne. Mind you, I guess a lot of people do!
That is sad, rest in peace, Billie Jo
