In the Diana Ross classic the backing singers sound very much like the BeeGees - is that because it is them? Or just soundalikes?

The song was written by the bee gee's and yes they did sing the backing vocals on the track

when diana ross appeared on tv singing the song the bee gees "blacked up" like the old black and white monistrels and sang on tv in a totally non-pc way.
