Does anyone know who composed the title music to this series? It's an adaptation of a kids' book (of the same name) by Bernard Ashley and was shown a few years ago on BBC1. I remember enjoying the series and finding the music haunting; I'd like to hear it again.

Do you mean the seventies series on ITV with jack Hargreaves.? on kids TV.... In which case the song was sung by Max Bygraves.
