80's dance club tune, lost!

The lyrics went "New York" repeated in a deep, weird male voice to a great dance beat with drums. It was popular in clubs and occasionally played on rock radio stations. It sounded somewhat similar to "Oh Yeah" by Yello, but I don't think Yello made it. Does ANYONE know what this song was, who made it, etc?
