Ruining Music
Is it just me, or is the televised coverage of Glastonbury and the Isle Of Wight festival virtually interchangeable? By that I mean that both are utterly ruined by the most inane commentators/presenters who, if brains were dynamite, wouldn't have enough to fart?

I was watching Glasto a few years back and some female presenter, (can't remember who because I've probably subconsciously blanked it from my mind) was "interviewing" Primal Scream, and boy did I want to scream? Now I'm no lover of PS, but I felt for them that night as they had just come off stage to be met with "Wow, that was like, amazing, wow, like brilliant, like just fantastic". after gushing some more they were asked "What's your favourite colour?" Bobby had a look on his face that said it all.
The IOW headliner acts were good but the rest of the bill wasn't quite so attractive, (to me), plus it is difficult to get there from Scotland, so I passed. I prefer a fly in, fly out type venue when I'm gig going, (like High Voltage in London's Victoria Park), so Mancxhester was perfect for Pearl Jam. They were, as always, amazing, and the Vedder boy's voice gets better and better. Two hours fifteen minutes of sheer magic!
i saw the foos in MK last summer, on the saturday, and some work colleagues went to the sunday show. they were full of anticipation when i told them saturday's special guest was alice cooper, but were somewhat deflated when they discovered their special guest was seasick steve.
(although for me, either would have been great...)
